Eichler Kitchen Remodel – Santa Clara

Red Bird Build designed and remodeled an existing Eichler style home to create a modern and functional kitchen and dining area, with additional bar seating.  This was achieved by removing an existing load bearing wall, and adding additional structural beams to support the roof.  This allows the space to feel more open by removing the wall separating the 2 rooms.

It was important for the clients, where possible, to keep the original features of the Eichler design.  For example, the original cement block wall in the dining room was resurfaced and painted, and the exposed tongue and groove ceiling boards sanded and stained. The result is a home that maintains the integrity of the unique Eichler design, while giving it a practical, functional upgrade.

While You Were Out

One of my clients approached me with an idea to surprise his wife by building a new custom closet for his wife while she was away on vacation.  We had 7 days to demolish the old closet, and build the new closet before she returned, which was a very ambitious schedule.  After many long nights the closet was completed and put back together with only minutes to spare.
